Tennis Press Club Serbia celebrated its 35th birthday at Solemn Academy


The Association of Journalists of Serbia, together with the Tennis Press Club, this year celebrates 35 years since the first tournament of journalists – tennis players was played, as well as 10 years since the establishment of the TPK Assembly when they managed to enter the section at UNS, with over 80 competitors; ara – journalist, first year. On the occasion of this anniversary, a ceremonial Academy was held in Belgrade on the premises of the UNS Press Room in which the most successful people and deserving members of this organization were recognized.

The ceremony at the Academy of Tennis Press Club Serbia was attended by large numbers, including TSS and TPK President Slobodan Boba Zivojinovic, Fed Cup Selector of Serbia Tatiana Barley, FC Partizan Coach and TPK President Savo Milosevic, TPK Music President Kiki Lesendric, OKS Vice President Bogdan Obradovic and many others.

The plaque of the Tennis Press Club for the period 1984 – 2019 was promoted at the Academy, after its promotion, mounted on the wall of the Association of Journalists of Serbia in Resavska 28, as one of the best of the past period in the life of the Tennis Press Club of Serbia. The program was run by RTS journalist Biljana Vranes, an otherwise active competition club.

Yugoslavia’s first international journalists played in 1986 against their Italian counterpart in Belgrade, and they were successful guests.

After the official part of the Academy, aperitif and aperitif, a table in the shape of a tennis court and a racket with the number – 35 was found on the table.

Tennis journalists will continue to keep this tradition of journalism, which is a summary of the festive Academy held on Friday in Belgrade.
